Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) was Americas greatest theologian and a leader in The Great Awakening. He paved the way for a deeper understanding of the ways and working of God in the world. Yet he was voted out of his own congregation. His faithful wife Sarah, mother of 11 children, supported him through everything, though she was subject to bouts of depression.
We see Edwards as a minister whose emphasis was on the grace and mercy of God. Through Sarahs eyes, we have an insight into an amazing home and marriage relationship and the couples faithful love for each other.
Edwards is an unusual man who stands among the most influential in all of church history.
